A Look into Colour Blocking
Colour Blocking
Colour blocking is creating contrast within an outfit by
clashing colours within the garments you pair up. The most successful way to do
this is by picking colours on the opposite ends of the colour wheel.

Colour clashing has been known as a fashion faux-pas but it
has now become an essential tool for designers. Spring/Summer 2017 saw many
designers incorporating this trend into their shows: Balenciaga clashed bright
oranges with pale blues and Valentino brought us a lime green and burgundy combo.
Colour blocking is a bold trend to try-out especially if you
wary of experimenting with what you wear. Bright, bold colours are tricky
to style out so sticking to one or two colours at a time will be a good place
to begin. Before we created a look book for extreme colour blocking
we first decided to show how easy it is to incorporate a singular colour into
your everyday wardrobe. We experimented with blue, red, green and yellow.
