“Millennial pink” is a timeless colour yet very NOW, and designers can’t get enough of it. The real question is… What is colour millennial pink? And honesty, there isn’t an easy answer to that question! Not everyone agrees on what colour classes as ‘millennial pink’ and it goes from being more peachy pink to being more of a dusty pink depending on who you ask. Therefore, the answer to the question - albeit not a definite one - is that ‘millennial pink' is a range of pink colours. Think of the hotel building in the movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, a great representation of the range of colours that can ‘pass’ as ‘Millennial Pink’.  



Many designers adopted this pink into the world of fashion and it has been well received by celebrities both male and female. We seen everyone from Harry Styles in an all pink suit to Rihanna in a stunning pink puffer jacket - even Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton was seen in a sophisticated 'millennial pink' getup. Make-up products and accessories have also adopted this colour giving some breath taking packaging concepts - for example the KKW cosmetics giving us a stunning 'millennial pink' packaged lip kit. Everything and anything 'millennial pink' has been well received and as it is so timeless we will see it again.

For our Back to the University lookbook we decided to style three different looks to give a variety of options. Here are our choices!! Look Number 1 Emily- Emily is wearing a white floaty off shoulder top (H&M £5.99) , mom jeans (Top Shop £40) and white plimsolls (Primark £4).This is a more summery outfit that could be made more fall appropriate with a colourful bomber or leather jacket. The white shoes and the floaty top tie this outfit together nicely without making it too fancy or over the top.
