Tulle Takeover 




Up until recently tulle clothing has had connotations of ballerinas in big flouncy tutus or bold 80s/90s fashion but the fashion industry has reclaimed the fabric this year and it has become a prominent feature in recent fashion. It is a multifunctional fabric that adds an element of class to an outfit and can be worn by all sizes. We have seen tulle fashion in many ways this year from festival goers at Coachella to on the high street and many designers have taken the fabric on board and used in their individual ways...

                                                                                                                                                                                                   Molly Goddard S/S 17       Not only have we seen tulle on different levels of the fashion industry but we have also seen it used in many different ways as an alternative to lace. Traditionally we associate tulle with skirts - just like ballerina's tutus - and these have made a come back this year and we've seen them in wide array of colours and lengths (although midi being the most desired). However, Tulle has also been seen in tops, shoes and even socks! 




Overall, the Tulle trend has been a hit and designers have managed to create elegant, affordable pieces that don't make you look like you're in a bad halloween costume! Photography Experience #Silverburnafterdark

Silverburn Photography Experience  Last month, we had the privilege of being invited to a photography  event at Silverburn. The event was called 'Silverburn After Dark' and the whole concept behind it was to show Silverburn in a new light... in the dark!! This experience was great for us because, as fashion students, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and take inspiration from everything you see! Overall, this was a fabulous experience and we hope these photographs capture the essence of it! (All photos were taken in Silverburn, which is a shopping centre close to Paisley.
